GC Appointed by DHL to Develop Wireless Reporting Apps for UK Sales Force

Green Cathedral has been appointed by DHL to collaborate on the development of mobile data access applications for DHL's UK sales force. A sales force is more efficient if the frequency of “returning to base” is minimised. With secure mobile data access and instant filing of new information, sales personnel can reduce their reporting time and spend more time doing what they're good at.


GC Appointed to Develop Web Portal for Business Link

Green Cathedral has been appointed to redevelop the web operations of Business Link in Cambridge and Peterborough. As well as prioviding a collection of important reference material for businesses, the new Business Link web site will include a unique set of online diagnostic and automated situation analysis tools. These have been designed to enable Business Link analysts and advisors to spend less time collecting information so they can devote more of their time and expertise assisting more companies to develop and improve their businesses.


GCDM Rolls Out Second Viral Email Football Game for William Hill

November 2002

In Early 2002, William Hill asked GC's digital marketing division to develop and implement a viral marketing campaign to increase brand awareness, brand loyalty and to deliver an increase in the number of William Hill online betting customers. GCDM designed a viral game based on a Hi-Lo metaphor using real-world football shirt numbers with additional chances to play and win through the referral of friends to play as well. The viral campaign, which uses GC's tailor-made "Tsunami" email distribution system and Clickstream to track effectiveness with 100% accuracy has commenced this month.


GC Wins Digital Marketing Account for Avon Cosmetics

Avon cosmetics has appointed GCDM, Green Cathedral's digital marketing division, to develop the brand's first major on-line marketing campaign. Having made a strategic decision to develop an ecommerce channel for its 8m UK customers, Avon has selected GCDM to maximise its ROI through effective search engine positioning (SEP) and creative on-line marketing initiatives.


GCDM Wins MultiYork Digital Marketing Account

November 2002

Green Cathedral Digital Marketing has been awarded the marketing contract for all of MultiYork's UK Search Engine Marketing. The account includes all search engine optimisation, keyword buying and management for an initial 6-month period. Work has begun on the back-end optimisation and the MultiYork site is expected to be fully optimised from December 2002 with a comprehensive keyword and sponsorship program starting from mid-December on Google, Overture Network, Yahoo and the E-Spotting Network.


GC Develops Bespoke In-House Email Delivery System: "Tsunami"

Green Cathedral has developed an email delivery suite that allows its digital marketing clients not only to create and deliver email campaigns, but also track all relevant data from viral email campaigns. The delivery suite, called Tsunami, has been created to address the increase in email campaign requests by GCDM clients. Tsunami guarantees high rates of delivery and provides accurate and relevant reporting facilities.


GC Launches Corporate Site for Luminar plc

Green Cathedral has created and launched a corporate site with Web and WAP access for Luminar plc, a FTSE 250 company that operates 283 themed bar, clubs and restaurants, including the London Hippodrome. The new site at www.luminar.co.uk uses a bespoke multi-channel content management system to ensure that Luminar's customers and investors receive accurate and consistent information about the company's activities and its brands.


GC Signs Advertising Standards Authority

Green Cathedral has won the account to redevelop and maintain the ASA web site. GC will be responsible for publishing and updating the ASA's codes of practice to which all UK media and advertisers must adhere. As with the Consumers' Association Green Cathedral will be using Clickstream Web measurement solutions to analyse the consumption of ASA's Web content with 100% accuracy.


GC Wins Daihatsu UK Web Site & On-Line Marketing Account

Green Cathedral has won a major account to create and operate a new Web operation for Daihatsu UK. The new site will use behavioural information to deliver tailored notifications to its audience and sophisticated personalisation to interact more effectively with new and existing customers. GC's Digital Marketing department, GCDM, is also working with Daihatsu to deliver viral email campaigns to promote Daihatsu at UK motor show.


GC Launches Which? Endowment Action Site and Attracts 100,000 Users in First Week

New research from the Consumers' Association (Which?) suggests that up to 5m people may have been mis-sold underperforming endowment policies. The CA asked Green Cathedral to develop a new "Endowment Action" web site to support a campaign to inform consumers about endowment issues and to assist policy holders to pressurise the FSA into taking action. The site GC developed is simple to use and offers powerful automatic letter generation facilities to help consumers lodge formal complaints with the precise legal wording necessary for complaints to be acknowledged.


GC Expertise Delivers 15-Fold Traffic Increase to Clarityn Allergy Site

Green Cathedral's digital marketing division, GCDM, has used its SEP and SEO skills to deliver a 15-fold increase in Web visitors to Schering Plough's Clarityn Allergy web site in just one month. GCDM worked with MJL Advertising and Schering Plough to optimise the Clarityn site for keyword relevance and researched 500 terms associated with hay fever in order to make the site dominate the major consumer search engines for almost all hay fever related searches.

GC Launches the LittleWASP Virtual Phone Book

Green Cathedral has released its long-awaited Virtual Phone Book application as an upgrade to its LittleWASP WAP publishing product. The Virtual Phone Book enables users to set up and maintain a server-based WAP version of their personal and corporate phone books, removing the need to store phone books on SIM cards and on mobile phones. The first implementation has now been rolled out to all LittleWASP.com members at the flagship LittleWASP site: www.littlewasp.com.

Green Cathedral has created a secure back-end system for the Consumers Association "Switch with Which?" Site. The site, at switchwithwhich.co.uk, has been set up to help the public find out, objectively, which banks and credit card companies offer the best deal for them and which offer the worst. The new back-end system enables Which? to update instantly all its information on consumer banking packages.


GC Creates Popleague Site for BMG

Green Cathedral has launched a fantasy game site for BMG that allows users to manage a fantasy pop band made up of five real-world stars. Users start with a budget of £20m to spend on band members and can earn more imaginary budget according to the performance of their stars in the real charts. The site at www.popleague.com was commissioned to drive traffic to BMG's Click2music portal.


GC Signs LittleWASP Deal with Phones4U

Green Cathedral has signed a deal with major high street retailer Phones4U to supply GC's wireless publishing software, LittleWASP, for use within Phones4U's consumer Web/WAP portal. The LittleWASP software, which is designed to be rebranded, will be integrated into WizMan.com to enable its members to create their own colour and monochrome WAP sites.

Green Cathedral has partnered with Bango.net to enable Bango's direct billing system for premium wireless content to be integrated into GC's WAP publishing platform, LittleWASP. The flagship LittleWASP implementation at www.littlewasp.com now offers its members the ability to create WAP content and charge 10p or 50p for access to it. This is done simply by setting up premium rate Bango numbers that will be used to address each site in place of normal URLs.

International oil group TotalFinaElf (TFE) has appointed Green Cathedral to create a new web site for all its UK operations. Formed from the mergers of TOTAL, PetroFina and ELF, TFE has commissioned the creation of the new site to provide it with a Web based corporate presence in the UK. The site is expected to launch in March 2002.
