Green Cathedral is the trading name of GCDM Limited which is owned by a holding company, Green Cathedral plc.
Green Cathedral plc was founded in 1996 by two Londoners, Michael Woodley and Paul Putwain. The original vision of the founders was to create an Internet technology incubator without venture capital backing. This vision was realised by first creating a high growth and well-respected new media agency at the perfect moment just after the birth of the web. This business, today an "agency" called GCDM but still known as "Green Cathedral", provided an ideal platform for the exploration of new Internet technologies and applications. It gave us continuous exposure to the needs and the problems of organisations of all kinds as they began to take the web more seriously and our early technical focus brought us talented programmers and developers capable of rapid prototyping of web-based software and applications.
Since then GCDM has become a top 15 UK digital marketing agency which treats technology as a tool and brand-led creativity as a mission.
And today, Green Cathedral plc remains a technology incubator without venture capital backing. Green Cathedral plc employs no staff and is run solely by a board of Directors, each with a wealth of commercial experience but with a profound thirst for innovation and invention. Our unique selling point is our ability rapidly to explore new ideas and to take the good ideas off the drawing board and build them into companies.
